David Thomas

David has practised predominantly in the areas of building and construction, commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
Prior to his return to Gibbs Wright Lawyers, David focused exclusively on building and construction disputes including security of payment adjudication and administrative reviews under the Queensland Building and Construction Act 1991 (Qld). However, the totality of his practice covers consumer law, corporate and personal insolvency, professional negligence and general disputes of a commercial nature.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, David was a construction electrician in the mining and oil and gas industries working on some of the largest projects in Australia.
David represents a broad range of clients from individuals to builders, developers, and other corporate entities.

  4. Admitted – Solicitor in the Supreme Court of Queensland
